The coming of Christianity to Ireland in the fifth century had a profound effect on the development of Celtic Art as this created a huge demand for sacred objects such as manuscripts, crosses and chalices. The Celts are legendary for their love of gold. The elegant refinement of the Ardagh Chalice and the delicate filigee of the Tara Brooch are testimony to their great skill. This design was inspired bt the art of our Celtic forefathers.
